Senior Mortgage Manager/Loan Advisor

Full-Time, Base Wage + Commission

Park View Federal Credit Union is seeking an experienced mortgage loan leader at our Harmony Square Branch. We are looking for someone who will be an effective business builder in the community through networking activities, and maintaining excellent relationship with realtors, builders, and community leaders. The Senior Mortgage Manager builds business internally by fostering trust and relationships with branch managers, member advisors, investment staff, and others.

This position will lead the mortgage loan staff in all aspects of real estate loans, including interviews, processing secondary market mortgages, HELOCS, and sales. The Senior Mortgage Manager must be effective in finding solutions through solid decision making and good judgement, as well as be able to develop and/or improve the operational effectiveness to support overall volume and quality goals. Additionally, this position will work with marketing to establish and implement a promotion and advertising plan.

The Senior Mortgage Manager is the PVFCU expert in consumer 1-4 family properties where TRID is required, and originates loans to ensure the department reaches goals and manages the ebb-and-flow in production levels effectively.

We are looking for someone who will enhance our already great work environment—someone who loves working as a team, learning new things, being creative, solving problems, working hard, and having fun while doing so.

Summary of Qualifications:

  • At least five years’ experience in secondary market mortgage lending.
  • Prior leadership experience with strong management and communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Ability to comfortably communicate and create relationships with members and community contacts.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to details.
  • Demonstrated initiative and drive to achieve goals.
  • Ability to represent the entire organization in a way that creates opportunity for all members to receive the maximum value from their membership

What’s so great about working at PVFCU?  Our employees love working with our wonderful members and coworkers; our work environment; the learning and growth opportunities that we offer; wellness activities and fun employee events; other great benefits; and supporting the credit union’s values of integrity, community, financial wisdom, and service.

Full-Time Member Advisor

As a Member Advisor you would work directly with Park View members on a wide variety of services and advise them how to best use our products and services to meet personal financial goals.  You would help them with their transactions, open new accounts, work with them on loans, direct them to our mortgage and investment services, and take care of all the other needs they have in their personal finances.  We want you to build relationships with our members so when they have a financial need, they think of you first—because you have already shown them you are an active listener and can help solve their problems.   We expect every member to have a great experience when they work with a Member Advisor and in order to do this, you’ll need to learn a lot about our products and services to help the member determine which will help them reach their goals.  We have a great training program in place to get you there as quickly as possible, but it will take a lot of effort on your part.

We are looking for someone that loves to make people happy—especially our Park View Members.  They are a great group, and we want someone who will give them an extra smile during their day so they leave happy.

We are also looking for someone who will enhance our already great work environment—someone who loves working as a team, learning new things, being creative, solving problems, working hard, and having fun while doing so.

What else does it take to be a Member Advisor?

  • Six months to two years of related experience.  This might be working in any kind of retail establishment or customer service position.
  • Ability to be flexible with hours and days off.  We try our best to accommodate your needs, but we need to be fully staffed and ready to serve members Monday through Saturday.  Our full-time work week is around 40 hours.
  • A college education – Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Ability to learn quickly, interpret policies and procedures, retain information and take initiative in your learning and development plan.
  • Knowledge of and experience with financial products and services is a big plus!  This includes sound management of personal finances too.
